What my clients say
My daughter has been working with Njeri Laoshi in small groups and one-on-one for over a year. In my experience, Njeri really connects with her students, and also has high expectations of them. My daughter really looks forward to learning with her, and I appreciate so much the academic support my daughter is getting. She has made excellent progress in learning Mandarin this year.
―Caroline D., Parent
I appreciate that my son is being introduced to vocabulary that, in some cases, is specific to black culture and that he may not otherwise become acquainted with through his studies at WCMS. I also appreciate that Njeri has used her own experience of learning Mandarin as a non-native speaker to inform how and what she is teaching her students. I believe these kind of lessons are a great way of teaching history and instilling pride in the children.
-O.C., WCMS Parent
